Day 1 : Bangalore to Kukke Subramanya
Our representative will pick you up from Bangalore and take you to Kukke Subrahmanya, where you’ll have time to enjoy the forest and hills. It’s a famous religious destination. Take the time to visit all the temples at Kukke Subramanya while staying there. They are dedicated to different gods, including Vasuki and Subrahmanya. If you’re lucky, you’ll find snakes in their natural habitat! Then, visit Kashikatte Ganapathi Temple to see another interesting Hindu temple with a Ganapathi idol installed by sage Narada. Stay overnight and travel back tomorrow morning.
Day 02: Kukke Subrahmanya - Dharmasthala – Mangalore
Morning, make sure you checkout The Hotel, then start your day with a visit to Sauthadka Ganapathi Kshetra. This place is dedicated to Vana Mahaganapathi (without any temple structure) and it is surrounded by beautiful scenery. Next, head to Dharmasthala – the holy abode for Hindus. Once there, visit to Lord Manjunatha Temple and have a darshan of Lord Manjunatha (Shiva). Moreover, stop by Rathnagiri (Statue of Bhagawan Bahubali or Gommateshwara), Bidinede (Annappa) Betta and Sri Rama Kshetra on the banks of River Nethravathi. Morning after visiting these temples drive to Mangalore. On arrival at Mangalore check in at The Hotel followed by a visit to Sharavu Mahaganapathi Temple and Mangaladevi Temple. Spend the evening at Kudroli Sri Gokarnanatha Kshetra, one of the most beautiful temples in Mangalore, which is lit up everywhere around and all around with lights! If somebody visits Mangalore they must go and see this temple! After meeting all your religious desires stay overnight.
Day 03: Mangalore - Kudupi - Polali - Kateel - Udupi
By morning, you will check out of your hotel and visit the Kadri Manjunatheshwara Temple. The temple is dedicated to Lord Manjunatha and located on Kadri Hills. Once you reach there, head to Kudupu Ananthapadmanabha Temple. This temple is 10 kilometers from Mangalore City, about midway between Mangalore and Moodbidre. It is dedicated to Lord Anantha Padmanabha (a form of Lord Vishnu). From Polali, get the blessing from Goddess Rajarajeshwari at Kateel Durga Parameshwari Temple. Ask her for protection during your scuba diving trip. Goddess Durgaparameshwari will bless you before moving on to Udupi or Sri Varakhedi Venkataramana Temple at Udupi for the night.
Day 04: Udupi - Murudeshwar - Idagunji – Gokarna
The morning after checking into our hotel, we’ll set out for a morning visit to the world famous Sri Krishna Temple and then visit nearby Anantheshwara temple and Chandramouleshwara Temple. Next, we’ll return to the hotel for breakfast and check out before driving on to Saligrama Narasimhaswami Temple and Anegudde Ganapathi Temple. After fulfilling our sightseeing at Murudeshwara, we’ll move on to Gokarna. Along the way, we’ll stop at Idagunji Ganapathi Temple and continue our drive to Gokarna beach’s evening market. We’ll finish off our day with a recreational visit to Gokarna beach for some relaxation time before returning via car to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 05: Gokarna – Sirsi - Jogfalls – Sagar
As you visit Mahabaleshwar (a temple city in Maharashtra), make sure to go early in the morning and visit the Mahabaleshwar Temple. This temple features a sacred Shiva Linga. According to legend, Ravana (who was Kumbhakarna’s brother) gave the Linga to Shiva before he died. When Ravana first approached Shiva for protection, he was turned away because he had not yet shed blood or performed penance due to his interest in asceticism. Upon earth-shaking anger of Ravana, the Linga spoke and acceded to his request. Once you’re done spending time at Mahabaleshwar Temple, it’s off to Tamra Gowri Temple and Ganapathi Temple at Gokarna. After exploring this area, proceed back to Sirsi. On arrival at your destination, make the short drive for a visit to Sahasralinga and then Sonda Vadiraja Mutt before heading into Marikamba temple of Sirsi which is one of the most important seats of Shakti worship in Karnataka. The temple houses an idol of Goddess Marikamba that is around seven feet high and dates back 16th century AD. The idol is also has
Day 06: Sagar - Sigandur Chowdeshwari Temple – Kollur
This morning, head to the Sigandur Chowdeshwari Temple, which is located near the river Sharavathi. The temple is uniquely situated as it’s surrounded by greenery in one direction and the river in the other. The Sigandur temple is unique in itself, because Goddess Chowdeshwari manifests herself and she has a powerful presence. When you pray sincerely here, you get positive results. After visiting Chowdeshwari Temple at Sigandur, head to Kollur, which is at the foot of a mountain range called Western Ghats. Kollur doesn’t only have Mookambika Temple – which is a very important place of pilgrimage in Karnataka – but also many other things to see like waterfalls and scenic beauty. This evening, check into a hotel before heading over to Mookambika Temple where Godess Mookambika seems to reside according to Hindu tradition. As legend has it, Shri Adi Shankaracharya consecrated her image on Shri Chakra (which means “bearer of Chakra”)- that means Mookambika is an incarnation of Goddess Durga!
Day 07: Kollur - Shankaranarayana - Sringeri - Horanadu Annapoorneshwari Temple
In order to get the most out of your trip, try visiting the Shankaranarayana Temple and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Agumbe. These two sites are great places that everyone should visit while they are in Shimoga. After you have finished touring these two attractions, continue onto Sringeri which is located on the banks of river Tunga. Sringeri is where Adi Shankaracharya established the first mutt (religious institution). The main attraction at this Hindu-only temple is Sri Sharadamba Temple and Vidya Shankara Temple. We suggest visiting both temples because they are architectural marvels that are definitely worth a visit! After you have visited all three temples, it’s off to Horanadu for an overnight stay. On arrival at Horanadu, take some time to explore the natural landscape which has been rated as one of the most scenic travel destinations in India. Our destination goal is an ancient temple of goddess Annapurna which was revamped by British administration during their regime in India. Focusing solely on Shakti temples, goddess Annapurna is considered one of those who provides prosperity in material sphere (food) and spiritual world knowledge (knowledge), so it’s highly
Day 08: Horanadu - Kalasa - Belur - Halebid - Bangalore
You’ll start by checking out of the hotel around sunrise, and heading to Kalasa for some sightseeing. Make sure to stop into the Kalaseshwara Temple before continuing on your way to Belur. Here you can explore Chennakesava temple and wander through striking Hoysala architecture at your leisure. Once you’re ready, head to Halebid and visit the beautifully designed Kedareswara and Hoysaleswara temples. Afterwards, it’s time to head back towards Bangalore. On arrival there, your trip will come to an end with a transfer back to your home or railway station on departure.
